Do not let anyone else use your account
There has been a breach of trust here recently when one of our posters allowed a banned member to use his account briefly. We highly discourage such action in the future. Why?
1. It's fraud. When you joined you verified you were who you said you were by YOUR email confirmation. Allowing others to use your username breaks the terms of use you agreed to be able to remain and post here.
2. If one gives your password to someone else, we ask you how well do you really know this person? Can you trust him to keep your password safe? What will keep him from causing you to be banned under your user name?
This particular person I am talking about over a year ago convinced a staff member he could be trusted with his password to his user account. Without getting into what happened or the problems that was caused by this, and the fact he never changed his password after that, the staff person had problems in the future due to the actions of this person.
3. If this persists, we will have no choice but to ban the persons account that infiltrated, especially if it had been done willingly. And if one of have been sympathetic to his situation before.
To keep your user name safe and to keep keep posting here as a respected registered user, we encourage you not to participate with any games this former admin and new site owner is trying to play!

security issues has caused us to temporarily disable profiles
We have a spammer, a lot of you know him, for those of you that dont, I am sorry for any inconvenience he has caused you do to his spamming.
We have made some adjustments to registered users viewing profiles.
As of now for the short term, a registered user cannot view a persons profile. This protects him or other spammers from infiltratring your IM usernames.

Editorial writers wanted!
Do you have what it takes to show off your writing skills. Well if you do Boxingforum's editorial staff is looking for you.
1. Editorials should have three parts: First is the introduction, where you state what your contention is. This should usually be one paragraph in length, and never any longer than two paragraphs. The next section is the body, or the evidence you present to back up the claims that you’ve made in your introduction. Lastly is the conclusion—another one or two paragraph matter. Here you summarize your contention and evidence, and lay out any warnings you especially want the reader to remember (if such exists).
2. Do not be afraid to be controversial and when you do, write with confidence! No one has all the answers, but you should write as though you do.
3. Let your personality come out: If you’re known for sarcasm, be sarcastic. If you’re known for being funny, find a way to inject humor into your writing.
4. Use emotion. Tell how *you* feel, or felt. If you’re angry—express it! If you’re happy—let it show. Talk about the emotion of your subject and talk about the emotion of others.
5. Make every sentence count, and use as few words as possible to make your point. Clear, short sentences are best. Check your grammer and spelling twice.
Editorials to be posted on Blogs, once week! We require only one blog a week. It will then be featured in all of the forums in the network.
We are looking primarily for Boxing only, however, if you want, you can write about any sport.

Conduct:
1. Nobody is to bash any BF staff member period. Every member on this forum is welcome to voice his/her opinion however if there is ever an issue with one of the "volunteers" you can pm that member or the admin truebluefan. Staff bashing is unacceptable and and will be addressed immediately. Equally, the staff is here to set the example; therefore the rule works both ways.
2. Ideas and opinions may be challenged, but NO personal attacks. If you have an issue with any other member, try to resolve it privately via PM, or if you think one of the staff could somehow help, don't hesitate to contact us.
3. Try to use appropriate language in each thread/forum. We realize threads go off-topic all the time in almost every forum at BF, but at the same time, this is an all-ages forum, so we'd at least like to help people avoid the more offensive topics if they so choose.
4. Do not wish for players to be injured or dead. It's rude and disrespectful and sometimes illegal. Such posts will be deleted and the appropriate action will be taken.
6. You may only use 1 account, if you would like to change your login information or create a new account please contact the staff at BF.
The "use" of multiple accounts will result in an official warning and banning of the duplicate account. If the user is caught for a second time it will result in an immediate ban of all accounts and an ip ban.
Posting:
1. Avoid starting threads with a subject that has been discussed before. Use the 'Search this forum' function on top of every page to find out if threads with the given subject have been started before, then use the old thread to give your contribution if wanted. Do not start threads with the sole intention of earning vCash. Duplicate threads will be merged and the vCash will be lost.
2. Try to start threads in the appropriate forums. If a thread is started in a forum it doesn't belong, the thread can be moved to the appropriate forum. If the topic does not relate to tennis in general, please post it in the Non-Tennis forum.
3. Spamming advertisements is not allowed by new members post or VIA PM. If you have a boxing website you wish to divulge, put the link of it on your signature with small letters, but do not start threads or post insistently about it. Spam also includes a. Product or service offerings from a business or organization. b. Products or services using pyramid scheme.
4. Please give warnings in your titles if needed for those who may not want to read something.
5. No swearing or vulgar language is permitted in thread titles.
6. No pornography/censored photo postings is allowed.
7. In the interest of public disclosure, the procedures for warning and banning posters are as follows:
Step 1. Written warning via PM
Step 2. Suspension (temporary ban) and another message from an administrator or Super Moderator explaining the infraction and reason for suspension. The length of the temporary ban is at the discretion of the Super Moderators and admins depending on the particular situation, and is not a decision taken lightly.
Step 3. Permanent ban.
Note: Depending on the severity, the staff of BF can make the decision to "express ban" at any time.
A lot of discussion is taken prior to a ban therefore if someone has been banned it will not be overruled and any complaints should be taken up by the bannee or VIA PM. Do not start a thread.

I want to add one things to the announcement below. This pertains mostly to the public board. Signatures are considered part of the public board. Period! So, baiting and attacks in the signature is not any different than posting them in a thread. Some of you may wonder why connect the line between signature and the public board? We had a long time poster banned recently that used that very argument! I have been clear the last few weeks that attacking posters, belittling them, or calling them names will not be tolerated. His comments were, 'no one said anything about signatures.' So everything stated below includes signatures.

Important: Intellitxt ads
I wanted to post a quick announcement discussing the Intellitxt advertising tags some of you may be seeing. It is a new advertisement program we are doing a trial on to gauge its effectiveness and see if it is a long term solution that we might be able to adopt.
I realize that it might be an inconvenience to some of our members so we have added the ability for your to disable them. In order to do so, simply click on your User CP (in the navbar) and click on "Edit Profile" -- Scroll down and look for the "Additional Information" area. You will see an area allowing you to "Disable Intellitxt Ads", simply check "yes" in the "Disable Intellitxt Ads" option and they will be turned off permanently.
We value our members and want to give you the option to continue to enjoy this site as you always have well into the future. Thanks for being a valued member and participating on our site!
