Marciano had his hands full with old guys like Jersey Joe Walcott, Archie Moore, and Ezzard Charles (the latter two being the same size as Marciano, I might add for all those who hype Marciano being so "small"). Frazier had everything on Marciano: he was bigger; stronger; faster; at least as iron-willed, aggressive, and pugnacious; had a much higher work-rate; comparing who the two men fought, Frazier may have had the better chin; he had better defense (a real condmenation of Marciano right there); better footwork; and I'd bank Frazier's left hook was harder than Marciano's right.
It would be a great shoot-out between two punchers who only know how to come forward, and put bad intentions on every shot. Four rounds of trench warfare see-saw back and forth, with Frazier catching a crushing, short right from Marciano in the 3rd, sending him crashing to the canvas. However, Frazier gets back up before the count of 8, and goes back to work. By the middle of the fight, Frazier is firmly in control, his wrecking ball left hook regularly finding the mark to the head and the body. Marciano goes down in the 6th as Howard Cosell screams "Down goes Rocky! Down goes Rocky!; then again in the 8th; and then twice in the 9th as the referee stops the fight.

Frazier TKO9 Marciano.
Moore, Walcott, and Charles were not old! they werent even in there fourties, except for Moore. Moore was in his prime when he fought Marciano. Marciano did not have his hands full for any of these fights (except for the first match between him and Walcott). Marciano did not just beat his opponents, he steamrolled over his opponents! The first fight with Walcott was different because in the beggining rounds, Walcott was outboxing. In the middle rounds, Marciano was blind from a solvent seeping into his eyes. and in the end rounds, Marciano put him away. For one, Marciano had a stronger punch than Frazier. and for two, Marciano was alot more iron willed an he had a longer work rate. Marciano also had that underrated defense, and Marciano was PERFECT at slipping punches, and finding ways around other peoples styles. And the stupidest thing that you could ever do is go toe to toe with Marciano.
I see this as an amazing match, with Frazier being knocked out anytime after the 12th round. both were great fighters, no matter who would win or lose.

Frazier TKO9 Marciano.
Frazier has very little on Marciano. Marciano was stronger, hit harder, had more stamina, had a better chin, and there defence was about equal, maybe a slight edge to Frazier. Frazier had a small speed advantage, a 1/2 inch height advantage, and a 20lb weight advantage in his prime. Had Frazier done the sort body conditioning Marciano did, he would lose some of the fat around his mid section, and drop a few more pounds. Frazier carried about 5 lbs of extra weight in his prime.
The only times Marciano was dropped was when he got hit with the same shot Walcott KO'd Ezzard Charles with, and Marciano was up at 4, and madder than anything. And the 2nd time he was caught off balance and got hit with Archie Moore's hardest straight right, and Marciano went down, was up at two (it was a flash knockdown) and he went right back to work beating the piss out of Archie.
