1. Do you ever plan on going to 147 in your career and how easy are you making 140 at the moment?
As of right now i dont plan on going to 147 i feel very comfortable at the weight right now so ill stay and hopfully become undisputed light welterweight champion of the world
2. What affect has training with Cory Spinks had on your career?
Its been a huge affect. Me and cory have known eachother every since he turned pro so i witness a guy who i knew from when he first started and become undisputed champion so i take what he have done and do it better and smarter
3. What did winning a dominant decision over Demarcus Corley do to your career and fanbase?, And how great was it to get that first big name on your record?
Me beating chop was a big step for me it showed people that i and a good strong contender in 140 pound division and my support has risen from that fight more people see that i can be champion. The win felt good first twelve rounds and it felt good now that i got that first twelve round under my belt im ready to go now.
4. Do you feel that the somewhat yelling sound you make after throwing a punch affects you in a positive or negative way? Emanuel steward touched on it during your fight on HBO PPV against Corley.
i thinking me making souns is ok its something that i will work on but for right now i think its ok its shows the force that im trying to put on my opponent
5. I remember you losing to Rock Allen in the 2004 Olympic trials and it cost you a trip to the Olympics. Would you like to avenge that loss to Rock Allen in the pros?
Let me tell you, that lost really hurt me i thought i won that fight it was a close fight and i thought i edge it out it weas my dream to win the olympic now that im pro i using me not going to olmpics as a motivation and i will not miss becoming champion
6. How did it feel turning professional at the age of 17? Was it scary?
I was a little nervous but i knew this what i wanted to do so i knew it wasnt no room for being scared
7. Its been rumored that your next opponent has a weak chin and you have pretty good power from what we've seen from you. Do you plan on showcasing that power in your upcoming fight on the cory spinks undercard?
I trained real hard for this fight and i plann on going in their and dominating im on a mission to becoming champion so that what i trying to do
8. When do you feel you will be ready for a title shot? How do you feel you would do against the likes of ricky hatton and paulie malignaggi once you get a little more experience?
Im going to leave that up to my manager and promoter i dont look past nobody who ever they get to fight me im go train hard and become victorious
9. When you were younger, was there a boxer that really influenced you into becoming a boxer?
Not really i always wanted to try out and when i really got into it i started to pay attention to the champions
10. What guy would you really like to face by the years end?
Anybody I train whoever the fight is i know if i train hard and do what i suppose to do ill be ok
