Kendall Holt Interview - 5/8/08

Hey Kendall, I finally got those questions together. Here they are.

Who or What inspired you in becoming a fighter?

My father wanted me to become a boxer, I wanted to do karate as a child.

What has been your most satisfying moment in your boxing career so far?

As of right now, Getting a second chance to defeat Torres.

You are well known by all the diehard boxing fans but still a little unknown to the general public. What do you think you can do to change that?

I plan on doing some acting outside the ring.

Is there anyone out there that you are just dieing to get in the ring with?

There isn't anyone that I'm dieing to fight. I just fight who they put in front of me. However, I am dieing to get in the ring with Torres again. Honestly, I just like to fight and get paid for it.

What is your detailed prediction on the upcoming fight against oscar and forbes?

I didn't think forbes had a chance but he did hit the lottery.

As of now, you are the only man to of defeated David Diaz. How do you think he and the Pacquiao fight plays out?

I think it will be a war and may the best man win.

What was going through your mind when all that craziness went down in columbia?

All I was really hoping for was to get back home to my kids.

How do you feel about those who felt you would've lost the fight regardless of what was being thrown in the ring?

I say they don't know boxing and if they did all they can give Torres is a punchers chance.

Are you doing anything different in training this time around to prepare for Torres Power and his style?

Im just making sure im extra extra ready and working on my flaws.

It's clear that you have fast hands and it is widely known that speed equals power. The fans werent to pleased with your last performance. Do you plan on sitting down on your punches a little more against Torres in the rematch to get a little more respect?

I will sit down more and there will be fire works on the 4th and lots more to come on the 5th.

i'm kind of surprised he labeled malignaggi "old news". before he fought torres in columbia him and paulie seemed mad cool in an interview on btalk.

Ya know I was wondering the same thing. Maybe he feels its his time? I dunno. He could of got the questions mixed up as well. Hell, it could be an error on my part.
