Shouldn't be Champ

Hopkins got robbed in both of their fights. Hopkins should have retired as Middleweight and Lightheavyweight champ of the world but he got robbed. It seems like every 20 years a champion is robbed of his title if he keeps it longer than 5 years. In 1985 Holmes got robbed twice in a row when he fought Michael Spinks. He was champ 7 and a half years and was 48 wins 0 lost 0 draws and was going to tie Marciano's record then beat it but he got robbed twice in a row.

I think Hopkins is great but not really sure he was robbed. Both the Taylor fights coulda gone either way. I cant say either guy woulda been robbed if the other won.

I think Hopkins was robbed because to beat the champion by decion you should have to truly beat him.

taylor won pretty convincingly to me and i felt spinks beat holmes with ease. Holmes did better the second time around but still not eonugh to win.

i also think that you should have to convincingly beat the champ to win the title if the fight is really close the fight should go to the champ

You cant really organise that though. If its close you obviously havent done enough to win the fight, because if you did it wouldnt be close

PLEASE don't get me started on this. In the rematch Larry pummeled Spinks. He had him hurt in several rounds. Spinks was on queer street in the 14th, but he narrowly survived.

give it up bill. he lost, theres no reversing that, at least he lost to one of the best, even though in my oppinion, spinks would of got whipped by alot of other mediocre light heavies.

IMO somebody shouldn't win a title by running and not pressing the action while the champ's pressing the action and pursuing you. When ever Larry hit Spinks with his right, Spinks got pretty hurt. Look at the rematch, you are the first person that I have come across that thinks Larry lost both fights. The rematch is known as one of the worst robberies in the history of boxing. By many, its known as a disgrace.
