Linares is solid, he'd beat valero.

Valero: I have to fight Pacquiao!
KO King seeking superfight in United States

"I want to be considered the best, so I'll have to fight Manny Pacquiao whom they claim to be the best," said unbeaten WBA super featherweight champion Edwin Valero (23-0, 23 KOs) after demolishing Zaid Zavaleta over three brutal rounds on Saturday night in Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico. "Tonight was one of my best fights and I want to be recognized as one of the best in the world." Valero remains on medical suspension in the U.S. for an irregularity seen on a 2004 MRI, preventing him from getting lucrative Las Vegas superfights against the likes of Pacquiao, Juan Manuel Marquez and Joan Guzman. "I'm a world champion and I want to go to the United States to prove that I'm the best," he continued. "Tonight I proved it and and I want to meet any world champion or challenger in the United States given the opportunity." As for the fight against Zavaleta, Valero stated "Everytime you fight a Mexican, you know it's going to be a tough fight....I wasn't waiting for the referee to stop the fight or anything like that. I was trying to get the knockout, taking my time and finishing him off like I should." The champion dropped Zavaleta in round one, pummeled him in round two, and after a big Valero right hook dazed Zavaleta in round three, referee Luis Pabon stepped in to protect the Mexican fighter from the devastating follow up shots that were about to come.

not a tough fight at all. Its obviously the ones who just see his resume and have never seen him fight, HE ISNT THAT GOOD AT ALL. IF pacquiao had fought the guys he fought he would of 23 wins and 46 knockouts. Pac would of knocked them out so bad it would of counted as 2.

I however think valero will get beat before he gets a chance at pac, he will need to prove himsefl one of the other good superfeathers before he takes on the tornado.
