The main event on espn is about to come on and the raul martinez fight just ended. bute vs joppy starts in about 30 minutes. The shobox card will start in 45 minutes. Mike Walker vs Antwon echols is about to start. For those that dont know echols, he fouught bhop twice and he has a 87 percent knockout ration. For those that dont know mike walker, he is undefeated and is a sparring partner for miguel cotto and kelly pavlik so this should be a great fight. Echols power vs Walkers toughness. This is my first look at walker and he looks determine and being that he's undefeated, he doenst know how to lose.

Walker looks extremely strong, his body looks extremely strong. Round 1 begins. They are in a small ring so we are going to get fireworks.

Walker looks extremely slow and echols looks surprisingly fast for a man who has been fighting for fifteen years. combos by echols, he is blocking all of walkers shots but walker is begining to land against the ropes. He is 19-0, This is a supermiddleweight bout, walkers hands are becoming a little faster, his right hand is landing on echols, both of these guys can punch, Round 1 was a feel out and I give the round to echols. Echols looked like he was about to ko walker at the end of round 1 and then walker landed a bomb.

They start trading hard punches to begin round 2, and walker is swinging for the fences but is missing. Echols threw 104 punches in round 1 and it didnt even look like it. Echols lands a big right on walker but he takes it good. walker just lands another big left on echols. this fight is very even, Someone is going to get knocked out. Echols age is showing in his legs, they dont look there but he can still punch. Walker lands another looping left on echols and echols legs dont look good. He's not hurt or anything but his legs just look 'Old'. Another big right by walker, and then a left hook follows it, he's landing some power shots this round and walker wins round 2. Round 2 ends with a bang, walker and echols trading 4 hooks in a row and walker seemed to take the punches much better.

This fight is turning into a war, walker can punch guys ,but so can echols, walker looks unhurtable though at the moment. They guys have much respect for each other. They continue to trade punches against the ropes, and the sound of the punches sound like a gun going off, walker may get the ko this round. He is backing up echols at the moment. Its a good thing echols is ducking alot of the punches. Another big right by walker. Forget allen green, this is a great fight, walker has thrown 50 punches half way through the round, echols misses with an uppercut and pays for it, walker looks so much stronger at the moment, echols is losing snap in his punches and walker is still punching with full authority. echols is beging to run a little. His legs look like hearns vs hagler at the moment, very unsteady, but he's not really hurt like I said early, However walker just landed 2 huge left hands that about put echols down. Echols is taking a ton of damange in the corner and the round ended. Round goes to Walker. 2-1 Walker. But this fight is not going to distance

Walker reminds me of ricardo mayorga, You can tell he trains with cotto and pavlik. This guy is just old fashion'ed tough. Echols unleashes a flurry of pushes against the ropes but his mouth is open and his punches have nothign on them. Walker lands a bomb that puts echols into the ropes. Both men look a little tired now. echols more so. Walker lands a huge left hook and sends echols to the rope. walker was about to tee off on echols until the dumb ref broke them up for no reason. He is backing teeing off on echols against the ropes now but they get tangled up. Echols looks a little better in this round but is still tired. Walker took this fight on a days notice and echols took this fight on 2 weeks notice. This is an old fashion fight guys, no jabs are being thrown. walker lands a huge right hand at the bell. 3-1 walker.

Round 5 is fought a little more measured pace and as I say that, they both trade vicious bombs. Echols looks a little more rejuvinated in this round, and walker is bouncin on his feat a little. A huge left hand landed by walker, echols looks very confident at the moment and lands a huge uppercut. and another uppercut that grazes walker. They tie up, and he rocks walker with a left hook and walker is tangled up in the ropes. He doesnt look that hurt though.
