neck injury

Well... when i spar (which is pretty often), i often find myself getting hit and having my neck uncomfortably jolted, leaving me with an intense pain in my neck.

the pain is something that really makes me have to recover in the ring... i can usually take face punches like nothing... (a well placed body punch is a different story), but when i get hit and my neck gets this pain, it really, REALLY affects me.

i realize this has to stop... is this normal? what is a good way for me to avoid this? it happens nearly every time i spar, no matter who i spar.

ive done neck workouts in the past, just not religiously. will doing it everyday, or every other day make this occurance go away?

working out your neck should make it stronger if you do it a lot. But, dont spar near as much as you do until you think your neck is strong enough to box.

Start doing bridges. My neck was bad from years of rugby but much better now that i started doing them.
