any training tips nutrtion tips for first time amateur boxer?

hi people
iv been boxing for a good few monthes now, and love it,
trainers have carded me i wont fight till im ready next season but im weighing in at around 84, i wanna lose te weight cause im no heavy weight, im not fat or unfit im very fit and got quite a lean shape but im noway a heavyweight but i dont wanna drop down to under light heavey weight, im guessing my ecess weight is down to my diet i got bit of skin on my lower bas and alot meat on my back and thighs......i wanna lose a lil weight without losssing too much power and strengh as thats what is my attribute i have good power, ....any tips anyone? and should i use weights??

I must say its a good decision you should do it.Because being fit is very much necessary for participating in any sport.You are already fit but you are trying to maintain yourself now.Well Make a proper diet plan and eat accordingly prefer vegetables and fruits in it.Go for running everyday for at least 30 mins if you like walking do it for 1 hour that will defiantly help.
