I won't do that, but if they shove/hit me, they are still getting hit.

Oh yeah, you can make a lot of money with bets/stealing the guys wallot if you win. But it not the right way to get money.

i kind of wish this weren't my first post on this website but it is definately one i can relate to and maybe offer a bit of advice on.

70-80 street/bar/house fights...can't recall ever fighting someone smaller than myself...never had a fight go to the ground...been rocked by a few guys but never went down...suffered some head trauma but nothing major. roughly 20 KO's...the rest were won by tko or stopped by police/etc.

had one fight (4th of the night for me) go 40 minutes...the guy might have actually squeeked out a decision as i had very little offense left...stopped by police.

i'm 43 years old...haven't had a fight in about 8 years. i really wish i'd have gotten in to organized boxing when i was young. i'd still like to box but i'm way too old to be getting in to the competative side and there are no gyms within hours of here.

btw, i've never earned a penny for my efforts on the street...only gains were confidence and respect...which can both be better obtained thru oranized boxing in my opinion....stick with the ring.

all the time

I used to get in fights all the time when I was a kid. We moved a lot so every school I ended up in, somebody would try to test out "the new kid" and I'd always end up bloodying somebody real bad. My dad actually was a street brawler as a kid and purposely taught my brother and I how to fight. While most guys would start with a shove or some bad words I'd just go immediately for the broken nose or jaw. I didn't f*ck around. I was really vicious once in a fight. And, if I got a guy down I made sure to continue the damage. If a guy had threatened my little brother I wouldn't hesitate to kick his teeth in. I was terrible and should have gone to jail. Nowadays, a kid like that would surely end up behind bars. But, I never started a fight. Each town we moved to it just took one fight to get a reputation and we'd be left alone from then on.

I've since grown up and won't throw a punch unless my family is in danger and out of options.

I am not much of a street fighter either, but if I do get into a street fight, I am one crazy dood. The one thing that I can tell you though, is if you are fighting somebody really big, kick them in the knees.

I fight all the time because they are all like, "oh your a boxer, we should fight and see how you do" and stuff like that, you can't really win em all, the worst that can happen to me in a fight is if im fighting a bigger guy and he gets me on the ground and what not but oh well. The odd time ill start the fight to, but ill earn someday haha

haha i also took my dads advice when it came to my first fight. he was born and raised in wales, which was and is a pretty poor and dodgy country lol, and he was particularily poor. naturaly his fights were pretty gritty so he told me that in a street fight u throw technique out the window and go for what will down the guy as fast as possible, thus he gave me a few pointers:
1: if u have a bottle handy hit the guy over the head with the very bottom of it, means its much stronger and thus wont brake, so ull have more force to the hit.
2: knee the guy in the balls then follow with a liverpool kiss
3: kick em with ur steel capped shoes (all the rage in england at the time)
well in my first real fight(I was like 14) a guy kicked me in the back of the knee in a soccer match (with his sprigged boots), and this was after 50 solid minutes of punches to my side etc (which the majority of the parents and even the ref was aware of) so i got up grabbed his shoulders, kneed him in the balls then grabbed his head and liverpool kiss to the nose. was dirty, kind of clumsy (had never been in a figh before this point) and not particularily glorious but it sure worked.....incidently the headbutt (liverpool kiss) hurt alot lol
