By the way smj-

I believe you said you do 5 miles or something on setting 6. Im guessing that takes close to 50 minutes or so. Try running 1-2 miles on setting 8, which will take you 7-15 minutes and I guarantee you a much better work out and it will make you more fit while also opening up more time for more runs. Try it. Also your sprints should be made on no slower than 9.

It was just things i threw out there. Saying thats how it would affect him. Thats all. I can tell he's sensitive about the topic but i don't think any of us have that disfunction. Never heard anyone with problems of it and THATS why i chose to say obesity or out of shape may make you sore running.

Don't think you need to explain yourself at all.

Pork Chop is on a distinguished road
Reading comprehension is not you guys' strong point huh?

My nick name's pork chop; but I'm not out of shape or obese.
In fact, I've gassed enough pros in sparring to know that I got a decent shot of outlasting the guys around here who compete. I told you, I'm on a competitive swim team.

I don't deny that obesity CAN BE A FACTOR in running causing soreness.
Yet again, my issue is that it's the ONLY FACTOR in running causing soreness.

I'm sensitive about my condition; yes, but not because I'm uncomfortable about my foot.
It's because I'm tired of people telling me every 5 minutes that I've gotta be some sort of marathon runner to be good at fighting when it just ain't true.

Sprint sessions (even on cardio equipment) are better than long distance jogging for getting in good boxing shape.
It's been proven in tests with professional athletes.
I've seen it first hand when active cross country runners come in the gym and don't last a minute in sparring.
I've seen it first hand when the guys who have a 6 pack and run 5 miles a day can't keep up a decent pace on the heavybag.

So excuse me if I get a little fed up when I see the same, old brain-washed bullsh!t tossed around on these forums.

Umm...when did i say you needed to be a marathon runner to be good at fighting. Someone isn't reading correctly.

What makes you say that, your the one taking offense to club feet and saying we said you have to be a "marathon runner." Who said that stuff huh???

Your preaching to the wrong crowd, everything you just wrote I already know, guess you forgot your talking to boxers. What do you think I've been telling this guy the whole time. I have 6 pack and run several miles daily along with sprinting and everything else and I keep a great pace on the bag and in sparring, now your contradicting yourself about making "generalizations" about people.

"Same old brainwashed s***". Are you serious??? What are you talking about? Your hunting for an argument aren't you.

I could explain in exhaustive detail that not wanting to run or being sore from running was said to have a direct correlation to being obese; and it was therefore implied that running was a mandatory aspect of boxing/being in shape when; in fact, running itself is not necessary, there are other forms of exercise, some of which are better. I could also point out that such a statement in no way contradicts what i typed in the last post....
...but i'm just getting tired of repeating myself...

Believe what you want to believe.
There's nothing that I'm gonna say that'll change either of your minds.
This has already gone far beyond pointless.
I freely admit possibly being overly sensitive, but getting either one of you to admit that you made a stupid generalization is like pulling teeth.

so beyond done with this...

So you admit "the only reason you'd be sore from running is if you were obese and unhealthy" is a BS generalization?

Coz if so, then there is no argument and you guys can cool it with the personal attacks.
You would've found that out by my second post on this thread if you actually read what I wrote instead of looking for little things to nitpick.
