Stick to whatever works for you that is healthy. If your going to have a daily carbs intake the earlier the better so when yo work out you burn it off, don't neglect carbs as they are a source of energy, but remember the earlier the better. You can eat red meat once maybe twice a week you don't have to cut it out completely. You do lack protein get yourself some low fat protien shakes or fish(tuna is great especially since all it is, is protein), scrambled egg whites with one yolk works.
You do have to take in some small amounts of good fat from time to time so your body doesnt go in to starvation mode, where your body thinks it's starving and starts taking muscle and it storing any and every fat it does take in.
For snacks fruits especially bananas, peanut butter (jelly, marshmellow, whatever) sandwiches and milk should fill you up. Cereal works too, chewy, breakfast, and cereal bars do the damn thing.
When you get down to where you feel combfortable and still strong up the quantity of whatever and see if you can gain some muscle so you can bully in the lower weight classes. Fukk the unconstructive criticism, if you cant give the homie something solid dont say nothing. Keep doing what your doing if your feeling combfortable and healthy doing it.
Thanks for the info, i started eating more a few days ago. I eat 2 sandwiches a day now, and some more snacks so i get in about 1400 - 1500 calories a day. And i do drink low calorie protein shakes everyday but i only take like 25 grams. I just weighed myself today and im 138, so the way im eating is working well. I'll probably drop another 2 or 3 pounds and ill be good.

No problem, if you live at that weight when you actually go pro, you will able to to go even to featherweight at 126 or super feather at 130, by taking some liquid off your body and you will still be healthy and stronger than most others at the weight. And if you are going to lift weights make sure you do small weights and alot of reps so your muscles don't get big and make you weigh more.

The whole thing about you calling me little is the fact that someone little is someone smaller than you. Gotta read the definition doesn't matter if i'm still in high school. Thats like you being a midget and calling me little cause you're older. Anyway.. The whole thing about you saying you added another snack to the diet to gain more calories i think you should add something that would give you more benefits than a snack.

Thats a little too thin for my height, i dont really wanna go any lower than 135. And i dont plan on lifting weights, i just do body weight exercises like pull ups and push ups.

i meant little as in ur age, cuz u talk like you know everything when you said you've only been boxing for like a year. And i didnt say i added 1 snack, i said i added another sandwich and a FEW more snacks.
Umm...its not little in age its younger in age....
And I've been boxing for a yeah and guarantee i most likely know more. I study boxing a lot more and boxing is basically my life. I eat breathe sleep boxing. And your diet looks like a girls diet trying to lose weight. Working harder will make you lose weight trust me. You're looking for the easier way out is what you're doing.

I know my credibility on this forum's about zero right now but I think there's some wisdom in what Brooklyn and NSB are sayin.
When i was in high school I weighed as low as 142.
I swam every day and ran every night (it was much easier when I was little).
Most days I got by on a banana or two, a slimfast, and a gallon of water.
Fast forward a decade and I don't drop weight like I used to.
My body adapted to a low intake of calories so my BMR is significantly lower than a normal person's.
The only way I'm able to drop weight these days if I do the super starvation like i used to- and even then it's not quick.
Don't screw your body up.
Learn healthy eating habits now and don't stray or you'll be battling the scale for the rest of your life.
Eat healthy first - a good number of calories, carbs/proteins/fats, and make sure your cardio's on point - be it sprints and/or distance running - then, you'll be able to maintain a healthy weight (even if it is higher than your preferred weight class).

you sound like an idiot. This is what i meant when i said little 16 year old kid, you talk like a immature disrespectful teenager. Ive seen you get into like two or three arguements already on this forum. And about the training, I probably train harder then you do. You said you train 3 times a week right? I train every single day. You still gotta worry about school and stuff, but boxing is ALL i do, nothing else. When someone is trying to lose weight they gotta change how they eat to help with the weight loss its not just training hard, so by combining those two i lost ten pounds in two months. I didnt get the results i did by sitting at home and " eating like a girl ". So get your **** straight.

Obviously you're falling into the reason why i have the arguements because obviously i didn't start the insults. I like how people always think they're the winner of something. I'm not talking like a immature disrespectful teenager i'm speaking correctly and being smart with it. Since when was a 16 year old TEEN a little kid. If i'm as tall as you obviously i'm not little. You mean younger. Age has to do with time not size buddy. I actually train 3 times a week at the boxing gym and 3 times at the weight lifting gym. I'm not dumb to lift too much weight so that i become slow. I actually get sore. Work out harder in boxing you'll realize a huge difference. Going to the gym everyday you must be doing some weak stuff because going to the gym everyday is tiring and i'm only 16. And i don't suggest working out every day. But go on..over work your body...oh then again you may not be working hard enough. I easily burn those calories doing my boxing workout alone. And by training hard it will make you lose weight no matter what. Cardiovascular workouts makes you lose fat. But hey..if you don't wanna be taught by a 16 year old i don't blame you. But when you're wrong actually admit it. Your diet is horrible because all boxers eat Pasta, rice, meat etc. Snacks for calories...are you kidding me? "i'm eating a few more snacks" You do not need snacks in that diet. Instead of eating like 5 snacks (taking a guess don't beat up on my cause you eat 4 and i made a mistake) eat something different. Nobody needs snacks..you just can't handle your taste buds not having a sweet taste.
And listen to pork chop. He has a point. Your body NEEDS fats. You're probably still stuck in the 90's where everyone thought fat was very very bad for you. Later on in life when you are having metabolism problems think back and say wow i really should've listened to those people who were telling me my diet wasn't that good. And you asked for an opinion. I gave you one.
Look at what you're eating... Ask for everyones daily food intake and you will actually hear them say some kind of meat and grain and other things that you're taking away from your body that your body NEEDS. If you're seeing a big difference in performance than you were never eating correctly. It all depends on the quantity of what you eat.
& by the way all of those arguements i've won so maybe i'm the right one and you're the wrong one. Think hard on who started the insults because i came in and gave my opinion. Never did i insult you. So don't sit there and try to play victim. You're fighting fire with fire. Set out a peace treaty and start being open minded and stop thinking whatever you and your trainer says is correct. I even know that not all the time is my trainer correct about what he says. You're just being very gullible.
& I actually have people saying i'm correct and saying things that i'm saying so why am i the only one being attacked. I'm attacking back cause you're being ignorant and thinking age has to do with size. Thats the petty **** we're fighting about. Other than that i'm actually talking facts and not garbage. Don't take things so hard. Many people do and they get no where with it. Actually sit there listen..breathe..take it in...and start over and try to be open minded. 3 people agree that your diet is bad. One person doesn't. 3/1. And all 3 of us box. I don't know about DRPUGILIST.

There is a difference between the weight you walk around at and the weight you fight at when your a pro. I suppose you are training hard and eating good so I didnt stray too far (I think). What I'm saying is if you do turn pro you could easily make the 130 pound limit and still be strong, not to stay and walk around at the weight, and like I said whatever you feel combfortable at while being healthy is where you should be.

The thing is, he is eating right, he isnt starving himself he is on a healthy diet. If that was what you ate, you were really starving your body even though you felt (or didnt feel) full. He is eating three meals a day with snacks and protien shakes in between, though I would change his lunch from a regular salid to white meat chicken with a salad or potatoes or rice or brocoli, I think that he is on a good track and showing great discipline in a sport where it is 1 of the biggest assets a boxer can have.
Stop that bickering back and forth shitt that shitt is lame.
