burpees?

i have decided that for cardio i am going to alternate my jump rope and burpees and do 3/3 min jump rope and on burpee days do 6 sets of 15 reps. do you think that will be a good addition? are burpees beneficial to boxers?

I don't know. When was the last time you had to do a burpee in the ring. I think shadow boxing the best cardio there is. I maybe wrong.

Now, that's funny yeah, shadow boxing is definately where its at, but i don't remember the last time i got in the ring and just swated at the air burpees are a good total body workout, just make sure to explode in each movement and do a full plyometric pushups in the burpees to help punching power. variety helps the training enjoyable

Shadow boxing and jumping rope are the basics. Burpees have some advantages that the others do not.
