Hello guys, I'm writing here cause I want to know what you think about taking weight gainers as a boxer.
I did some gym for about 8 months, and started to box 2 months ago. I was around 200 lbs(90kg) then, with fats, after the gym training went to ~176 pounds(80kg). The box traing is much harder than the gym, and I sweat really much. I'm not as fat as before after boxing sitting at 168 pounds(76kg)
. Tho, I always wanted to fight at Cruiserweight or Heavyweight even if I'm just 5'11''(1.80 in cm).
I'm eating as much as I can, tho' nothing puts on me. At this moment, I'm doing 3 exercises / week, about 2 hours in each at the gym, in the other days when I don't go to gym I'm running and doing bike exercises,shadow boxing and some gymnastics. Tho, my trainer thinks that I should't take any of those weight gainers, maybe something that'll ge me more energy when we are going to increase the training exercises.
So my questions are these, what do you guys think about weight gainers? should I take those to get a bigger weight? or shall I keep eating as much as I can (meaning what I did till now)? Do you have any friends that took any weight gainers, proteins and any of those?
