Boxing in Melbourne Australia.

Hi Everyone,
I am very new to this so don't be to rough.

I am 30yrs old and live in Melbourne Australia, I am a shy quiet guy who is looking to shed some ponds and put some muscle on and tone up. I was told Boxing training is the way to go.

So my question is where is the best place?
I am looking for somewhere where the people are friendly and not to pushy.
I am not looking to turn Ameture or pro, just trying to get fit. However I am not ruling out sparing if I feel I can or the people in charge feel i can. (Who knows I might like it)

I don't know why at 30 I all of a sudden whan to give this a go, maybe because its something I would never normaly try. Besides I want to get fit and look good.
Anyone that can help please drop a reply.

Thanks

DMC

There is no "best place", unless you live in area with 2 or more gyms, you have to take what you get.

Hey, I'm from Melbourne Australia too.
I'm a girl but I'm training to fight to it dosn't matter where I train, that wont be any good to you.
A few people that box/kick-box for simply fitness go here-->Melbourne Martial Arts - Karate - Kickboxing - Boxing - Self Defence

It's in the middle of the city, so easy to get to, and theres lots of classes.

Depending on where you live, it's probably your best bet. Theres not that much around. Even if you don't live close if you work in the city it's good they early morning classes, lunchtime classes and evening class.

Where do you work and live?
