1. It will now be only the top 10 as opposed to the top 25.
2. It will be a collective effort voted on by all members/mods who wish to participate.
3. The ability to post your top 10 will be available for 5 days at the beginning of every month (starts now for August). After that, the voting is closed until the beginning of the next month. (Topic will stay open for banter).
4. Here's how the voting system works:
Every member who wants to participate posts their top 10 P4P. Their #1 fighter receives 10 points, the #2 fighter receives 9 points, down to the #10 fighter receives 1 point. At the end of the 5 day period the totals are tallied and that will be boxingforum's top 10 P4P list for that month.
The more people that participate, the more interesting the list will be so everyone please do. Thanks.
Voting will be open for the next 5 days. Related P4P discussion is welcome in this thread.
#1 - M. Pacquiao
#2 - J. M. Marquez
#3 - Bernard Hopkins
#4 - Israel Vasquez
#5 - Rafael Marquez
#6 - Shane Mosley
#7 - Nonito Donaire
#8 - Chad Dawson
#9 - Paul Williams
#10 - Chris John
Btw... Just one thing about the system.. why dont you make the #1 get 11 points, #2 gets 10 and so on... til the #10 gets 2
I'm just saying that because this way a fighter gets more points by being mentioned more times, as opposed to one time-but-high-ranked.
Ex: lets suppose Alfonso Gomez gets voted once as number 9, and John Ruiz voted twice as 10. Fonsie ends up with 3 points, Ruiz with 4 - therefore the extra point tie-breaks favoring the names mentioned more times.
