1) Are speedbags supposed to have a full range of motion? Meaning they can swing forward, back, left, right, and anywhere in between, or just back and forth one way? I thought it was the first, but this speedbag platform I want to buy has a swivel that only goes back and forth one way. Is this because it's a cheap swivel, or just because you can buy them either way (back and forth or full range of motion).

2) How would I set up a double end back at home? I don't have any hooks in the ground or anything, so how would I do this?

Speed bag has the full range of motion, your fists (skill) keep it in the back forth motion.

For the double end bag, I have mine held to the floor with a 50Lbs olympic weight. The larger hole in the weight allows for a "S" link to hook to the bottom bungie.
When I'm done I unhook & put away.
