This is a very general question but are more punches overall or more punches in rapid succession is better or more effective for a knockout?

Most fighters will let the KO come naturaly and not go seeking it, id say the way hopkins fought trinidad would be the most effective way, box and punish then when the KO is in sight then go for it.
