Going down the usual Warren WBO road..;) Im surprised, i think he should go down the WBC route because David Diaz is beatable whereas Juan is an awesome fighter.

thats what i thought as well, but if he wants to be champ why not go for the best there is?

but the david diaz path definately seems sweeter!

he'll be up against it if he faces juan Diaz! but we'll see, i wish him the best he is a talented fighter and doesn't look to be taking the same route as Hamed (well not quite anyway)

I don't think Khan will have a title shot before at least a year. That's good cause I don't think he's ready for the likes of Juan Diaz yet.

Agreed, but the Warren practically runs the WBO so i wouldnt be surprised if Juan Diaz was stripped and Khan fought for the vacant title, maybe against Katsidis.

That could happen Tom, he may face Katsidis at the end of the year for the WBO title.

If Casamayor beats Katsidis though he'll most likely relinquish the WBO strap and move up in weight for the big $$$$ fights, then Amir will be fighting for a vacant title, that is a very likely outcome, i give Casa the edge over Katsidis.

I don't think Warren is more powerful than Don King in the sport. Khan will have to face the baby bull one day or another if he wanna stick around at lightweight.
In the sport as a whole, no but with the WBO Warren has a massive influence. I think Juan Diaz is no longer contracted to King, from what i heard his deal with him is coming to an end early this year.

Thats whats most likely to happen Tom, he'll probs face Katsidis at the end of the year for the WBO title.

I hope Katsidis wins, but i do think Casa is gonna cause a shock and grind out a UD.

no khan won't get a shot for another year, which is good because he's not ready for one yet and he's got to fight a few more worthy opponents before he proves himself further, even though i do think he will have what it takes to take on fighters like diaz and katsidis in years to come!

We'll see. I can't really see him beating Juan Diaz even in 1 or 2 years but we'll see how much he improves and how well he does against a true champion.
