This is the first time I'll have the pleasure of watching lee and based on what emanuel is hyping him to be, he better impress. Although it would be hard to not impress against this contender wannabe.

Exactly. He's pretty good offensively but nothing to write home about. His defense is lacking.

I'll be a fan if his power is like what everyone thinks it is. Im sure his defense will improve with manny.

i havent seen andy lee yet but if what i keep hearing about him is true
he should beat vera and beat him easy

Andy has the potential to be a World Champion. You say his defence is lacking but he is under the tutorledge of Emmanuel + this surely would improve over the course of the more quality boxers he faces.

andy lee is scheduled to fight on the undercard of pavlik/Lockett as a triple header card featuring him,Ponce de Leon, and pavlik.the opponent for andy is said to probably be Marco Antonio Rubio. that's cool that there making it a triple fight card on hbo that night.:thumbsup: I have never seen andy lee fight either.

WOW!!! What a chin Vera has :O:O Altho the stoppage was a little premature Andy was just getting beat on and it was just a matter of time, Very dissapointed with Lee and very impressed with Vera.

Thats what happens when you have no power at all. Guys will just walk through you. Andy Lee can join the over-hyped no power club along with Juan Diaz. Great fight though. Kudos to Vera for not rolling over for a prospect.

WOW! That would be a postdiction, not a prediction. Hell, even I can do that!
Nonetheless, that was a great fight! And I am glad the judges saw it the same way as I did. I never saw either of them fight before, but Vera was impressive. Thank God it wasn't another Duddy-Smichet BAD Decision.
BTW, MSG TV never answered or acknowledged receipt of my letter to them about the 'marketing' of Duddy on MSG as a Great fighter! Teddy Atlas wrote back to me personally, and said that there should be a national commission to judge the judges and officials involved in boxing. Just trying to make it a more level playing field. It was real nice hearing from Teddy, I was quite surprised at a handwritten letter from him.

It was a good fight until the Ref ruined it. Andy threw a punch back how can you stop it? What a waste of a good fight.

I agree. I think it's funny that I thought the fight should have been stopped earlier but then when he started punching back I thought it should continue but then the ref stopped it. The ref more than likely did stop him from taking bad damage but I think Vera was close to being KO's if Lee would have put 2 power punches together.

:laugh::laugh: WOW.... Vera didn't impress me either beside the way his chin held up well. both defenses looked bad.
