Anyone know why Berto's fight not televised?

Andre Berto is fighting on the undercard to Taylor/Spinks but is not going to be shown. Why in the world would they have him there and chose NOT to show us more ANDRE BERTO?

First I heard of it, and ITS A DAMN SHAME if they don't show it.
welcome to my world guys LOL

the fight coverage in the uk has dropped to a poor standard the last year, thank god for youtube.

we are getting pbf v oscar free of charge though. :D
I just don't get it. HBO was so high on Berto the couple of times that they showed him in the past. They could easily make room for three fights on that card. The Berto fight wouldn't last long and now I am starting to think that the Miranda fight wont last long. Also, all they show is the same movies over and over! SHOW US BERTO.

maybe they should make some movies with berto in them, that'll solve both your problems shane.
I would love those movies. If Floyd retires I am going to have to heavily consider Berto as my next favorite :)

we've all been back and forth about hatton and floyd the last few years it'll be berto and khan next. :D
Yea but everyone likes Berto. I love that everyone hates Floyd, it makes it more fun!

true, berto could be the next delahoya.
I just want to see him on tv more. I think this will be his last untelevised fight. I see him being a bigtime PPV guy in the future as well.
I am really surprised & kinda disapointed this wasnt a PPV.

If all 4 of these fights really do happen & are all on the this card it should be PPV.
They could even show the Hearns fight.

Box rec isnt always accurate so we will see.

Middleweight Jermain Taylor vs Cory Spinks 12
~ WBC Middleweight Title ~
~ WBO Middleweight Title ~

Middleweight Edison Miranda vs Kelly Pavlik 12
WBC Middleweight Title Eliminator

Light Middleweight Vernon Forrest vs Carlos Manuel Baldomir 12

Welterweight Andre Berto v ? 1
Middleweight Ronald Hearns vv Dennis Sharpe

That is accurate from what I have been told Erik. They are only televising the Taylor/Spinks fight and Miranda/Pavlik. I'm sure they will show a brief highlight of the two we miss but that will be it.

We will see, if all 4 of those fights happen on that card I will be surprised.
yeah i read this as well. the only thing i can think of is that they hope the miranda pavlik fight ends early so they can show a one rounder with berto. I hope so. Im building my collection of his fights already and he is by far one of the best fighters already. He's the man. He will be the money man in a few years. They better freakin show that fight.
It's not looking good for Berto. If that card is accurate he would be the first fight so we would have a better chance of catching the Forrest fight. I still really think we will only see Miranda and Taylor.

the forrest v baldomir fight is a stick on to go 12 rounds, baldomir just doesn't get stopped and forrest has a granite chin to.
pavlik v miranda could end quick though.
It could but I hope Miranda wins convincingly. I did want Pavlik to win but I changed my mind because I want to see a well trained Miranda come in to fight Taylor having just Knocked out Kelly Pavlik in a gruesome sort of way. I want to see just how good Taylor is when he is fighting a puncher coming off of a devastating KO. We'll see how Taylor prepares.

Yea his chin is so hard that it shatters everytime a guy named Mayorga hits it.
yeah but other than the mayorga fight, shane mosley could hardly ever hurt him, he does have a good chin but mayorga was just brutal to forrest. I actually like mayorga and his antics. Brings a little style to boxing, I actually thought he did pretty damn well against tito, but he did get knocked out. Either way, forrest is good and i dont think baldomir could hurt him, i think forrest will easily outbox him. Man i hope they show the berto fight.
