I say Archie Moore would beat Hopkins, both wily fighters, both had extended careers, both ring legends but Archie had the the equalizer in each fist so in a bout of equals on so many levels perhaps the heavier hands might prevail.

Whatever, if the bout was possible to have been made i would buy a ringside ticket.

yes i agree the fight would be a classic but at LHW I think Moore would take it but I dnt see him stopping Hopkins tho I think it would be a tough 15 round fight with many rounds hard to score

I am not suggesting there would be a stoppage just that Hopkins as he has got older has been increasingly less a fan of trench warfare wheras even in older years Moore was still happy to go to war if it arose.

I have to say Hopkins would have the upper hand conditioning wise, however Moore was of another era and had to fight so many more bouts, so ring worn more.

Still think 'The Old Mongoose' wins, Hopkins is a great, Moore was a legend.
