In an upcoming interview with BoxingScene scribe Brent Matteo Alderson, WBC super featherweight champion Marco Antonio Barrera voiced his feelings on a rematch with Manny Pacquiao. Barrera said that he would like nothing more than to get Pacquiao in the ring, and wants to get revenge for himself, and his country of Mexico.
"I want to fight Manny Pacquiao. I really want this fight. I made a promise to myself to fight Pacquiao again and show him what a true Mexican is really made of. Mexicans are tough fighters, and I will show him that in a rematch," Barrera said.
When asked for his opinion on Paquiao's recent knockout win over Mexican rival Erik Morales, Barrera felt that Morales was greatly affected by him losing so much weight in order to make the 130-pound super featherweight limit for the fight.
"Morales left everything at the scales, he left everything there," Barrera noted.
