My only really significant one was Pavlik/Taylor I last September. Obviously, the main event was excellent with lots of drama, but the atmosphere in the building that night along with that of the boardwalk and in all of the casinos was incredible. I was adopted as an honorary citizen of Youngstown. Pretty nice looking girls were coming up left and right wanting to talk to me all due to my Pavlik t-shirt. Too bad that doesn't work around here... When Pavlik went down in the second, the dude in front of me was talking so much smack to me. Me and the guy next to me were THIS close to laying him out. Went Taylor was put away, though, that dude and his girl ran for the hills. I was talking fights with people on the piers and at the blackjack tables all day, so that was great. Also on that card was Berto knocking out David Estrada. That was a very enjoyable fight. Ronald Hearns got a KO in one round against some journeyman. Carlos Quintana was on the card. I never would have thought he would have had another welterweight title a couple of months later at that point in time. Omar Sheika and Chazz Witherspoon were also on the card.
