Moments after posting a press release from DRL Promotions (responding to BoxingScene's 4/3 posting RE: Bostick picking up Garcia), which stated that Julio "Baby Face" Garcia was still under contract with their company, promoter Bobby Bostick contacted BoxingScene.com to stand by his claim to Garcia.
"Héctor Sánchez Arredondo, out of Mexico, owned the promotional contract with Julio Garcia. DRL purchased a piece of the promotional contract and the management contract. That in itself is against the Muhammad Ali Act, you can't be the promoter and the manager. DRL breached their contract with Sanchez when they stopped paying him and I bought the contract from Sanchez. Sanchez pulled the deal after they quit paying him," Bostick said. "DRL better get on the phone with me and work something out or things will get very messy."
