how do you know what your boxing stance is? if your southpaw or whatever?

as im right handed, i thought it would mean that my jabbing hand was my left to have the big hits with my right, but when i was out at the bag today i swapped about and felt a little more comfortable in southoaw stance, as felt better with jabbing with my right and still getting the big hooks with my left?

is there a proper way, or is it just what your comfartable with?

forgive me, im new to this. always been a gym boy, but jut starting the boxing now.

any help appreicated. cheers.

What you feel comfortable with, really. If, as a right–handed person, you have your right as your power hand then Southpaw will give you a strong jab and powerful hook.

But you do need to train both hands so you can have a devastating cross too :D

ah cheers. so theres no set way then? southpaw's arent the best boxers to face are they? everyone has problems with them. are they less popular?

so theres no set way that if your left handed, your a southpaw or vice versa, its just what your comfortable with?
