Les't cut the BS Marquez smacked Barrerra in the mouth just like I did my girlfriend I saw the fight twice, Barrerra did'nt get robbed,he just did'nt close the show like he should have and thats what you get ,nobody at HBO said a damm thing, I say let them do it again

the fight was close, i didn't give a damn who won it because both guys are my kind of fighter. i thought barrera would have the edge going into it, i think i stated a draw wasn't out the question in the fight either. in a hard fight to score there was no clear winner although i had 115-113 barrera, i wouldn't have been to diapointed if marquez got it by the same score. but come on, 7 rounds on one card thats a judge scored a 9 round swing from me and although im no judge i know how to score fights fairly.

hopefuly the rematch will decide a conclusive winner with either guy ending it inside the distance.

Nobody on HBO said a thing? I remember Jim Lampley and Larry Merchant both commenting on how inaccurately lopsided the scorercards were. I would be cool with a 2-3 round decision for Marquez but come on. I have also watched the fight twice and originally had it 115 to 113 Barerra and my second view I had a draw. If the knockdown was scored correctly and the point was not deducted Barerra would still be my winner.

Do you guys think a second time around would be brutal because Barerra feels he was "cheated?" I could see a potential fight of the year going down.

Jim Lampley was all over Barreras nuts that night. It was a great fight so call the thing fair. If you watch it again listen how many times he talks about barrera compared to marquez. I like both fighters and I thought he was favoring mab. Id like to watch a rematch or marquez vs. pacman. either one is worth watching.

Agreed about Lampley. I watch fights on mute the second time though. I immediately rewatch every close fight the second they are over.

I do not understand how so many people including every one of the commentators were baffled at the horrible scoring and nothing is done about it. Is there no justice that goes along with something like this? I may sound crazy but if 99 percent of fight fans saw this fight at around a 2 or 3 round decision/draw how can BOXING let this bullshat judging keep happening. They can't just turn a cold shoulder at 3 people doing the opposite of what their job is meant to be.

Also.......this is why many people will not watch/buy in to boxing. I have tried turning many people on to my favorite sport but they see fights like this one and decide that it is either rigged or just bs. For a first time PPV watcher seeing the scorecards like that I'm sure it would be their last PPV or even boxing fight at that. Something needs to be done, or I may even start to look away insert a tear right HERE.

wow i agree with you on this BIG time its crazy how i try and do the same with guys i work with. ANd they pulled away from boxing cuz its not the same no more, these guys tell me stories were they would go to the fights at Ceasars Palace and Compare it to now how its rigged and its a fake sport now, but no one seems to be feeling the sport as much.. not much of a UFC fan but ive had my share of fights watched but i still see boxing better then Ufc and most people to date now are making a switch.. maybe its just vegas but the way judges are now boxing maybe losing money from these guys

by the way I saw the fight late and I can see why Marquez won the fight but like every one else IT COULDDA gone either way but by no means not by that much.. If yall recall i had the fight a draw on the other thread and hey it couldda been....

I can't watch UFC unless it's Chuck fighting or maybe a couple other guys.

Bruce Buffer tries so hard to sound like his Older brother before all the UFC fights. It's so damn funny!!!
