well if he can hold up for 12 rounds and not look like a chump he can at least say he did better Lacy did. If he manages some how to look remotely good it will be attributed to Joe looking bad thats the draw back!!but he could walk away with something if he doesn't get knocked out. small amout of self respect that comes from knowing you lasted 12 rounds with a future hall of fame guy.

All of you say this is such any easy win for Calzaghe so dont you think he should maybe step it up & fight a top guy? Kessler or somebody like that?

yes but reality is that he has been calling out Taylor,Hopkins,Winky etc. lets call on the rest of the guys to step up. hell a fight with Tarver or Roy Jones would be a big event.especially at the MAN centre!!

Taylors last 4 Hopkins, Hopkins, Wright & Ouma.

Hopkins last 5 De La Hoya , Eastman, Taylor, Taylor & Tarver ( With Winky possibly next)

Wright's last 6 Mosley, Mosley, Trinidad, Soliman Taylor & Quartey ( with Hopkins next)

Jones who is on the decline & about done last 7 Woods , Ruiz, Tarver,Tarver, Johnson, Tarver & Ajamu.

Tarvers last 6 Jones, Jones,Johnson, Johnson, Jones & Hopkins

How can you honestly compare those resumes to Calzaghes? I dont care if he is your brother you still need to try & be un biased & think about what you are saying.


Why would any of these guys go there to fight him? He needs them they dont need him. He has to come here a prove something or retire with a padded record like a Valuev & big question mark.

I meant for them to step up and fight Joe as far as him coming here to fight I am sure he would given the right conditions(money) but to my knwoledge nobody has been in a big hurry to make that offer witch make me wonder why!!! if he is a easy guy to beat they should eager to fight him anywere and get his credetials inder their belt. A guy like Tarver for me is Ideal he can be back on top in a hurry if he was to knock out Joe. are you out there Antonio?

I am sure there have been some talks but why pay out a ton of money to him when there are plenty of other top guys here. A win over Calzaghe wouldnt mean anymore than a win over the others we talked about.

And I never said he was easy to beat. I said he fights bums & 98% of UK fans overate him.

All those guys have been fighting on PPV for years so they must be doin ok. I think they are doin fine without goin to U.K.

we are beating a dead horse!! I a way your right they have been figthing on ppv and doing ok. but I saw an interview were Tarver was questioning why his ppv buys were so low and seemed very unhappy about it. so they maybe doing ok but certainly not good or great.

Tarver shouldnt be complaining about anything. He should be happy he got to be in a main event on PPV.
