I know he already has, but can he do it again? If he wins a World Title he would be a world heavyweight champion 5 times, and a world champion 6 times, and would be the oldest HW champion in history.

He should not fight Klitchko, or Valuev, Briggs would be a close call.

I think he should fight Klitschko. He should also ware the American flag on his trunks and come out to the ring music of James Brown's "Living in America"

Sorry, Holy I have been a fan of yours for a long time, and you surprised me last night, but if you even think about steping into the ring with Klitschko,

:( :( :( :(

Holyfield

All I keep hearing about when it comes to Holyfield is that his slurring of speech gets continually worse with time.

I don't know any non-boxers at 44 that slur like that. I know plenty of eighty-year-old alcoholics with medical problems that slur in that manner, when they talk, but not "healthy" 44 year olds...

Good for him that he is fit, and in shape to participate in the sport he loves. Will he beat any of the beltholders right now? Briggs, maybe. But Briggs hits harder, and if Holyfield complains about Oquendo running away from him, then Briggs will stand and trade, since he doesn't like to move too much.

I thought the winner of Briggs vs Liakhovich had to fight Ibragimov next.

yes but money talks and todays mandatorys are paid huge sums in step-aside money.

i have read however on fightnews that briggs has to defend within 90 days or be stripped, it says the fight must be against ibragimov. :dunno:

ibragimov hits very very hard i would slightly favour him to ko briggs, however shannon does have the power to do the same.

yeah he's briggs mando but if holyfeild and briggs want to fight they can pay ibragimov step aside money so they can get it on, then ibragimov will face the winner if he doesn't get a shot elsewhere first.

I doubt Holyfield will get the title in his grasp again, but thats what they said about Foreman.

they do say the last thing a fighter loses is his power so theres always a chance, i think evander has a great chin so that could bring briggs stamina probs into it, i actualy think evander has a real chance against briggs or even maskaev who i think is the weakest of todays strap holders.

The power is the last thing to go, but Holyfields speed and footwork is long gone by now.

Is Ibragimov the #1 contender though???

Yeah Ibragimov vs Austin was an eliminator. Since that fight was a draw Ibragimov automatically get a title shot.

I guess signing with Golden boy was a good idea. Where else can you geta draw & still win the eliminator. :dunno:

yeah but it still looks beter than a lot of ranked fighters, vander proved last night that he can do the 12 rounds which i thought were past him so theres always a chance, its would be a great story if he pulled it off.
