He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2001 and the New Jersey Boxing Hall of Fame in 1969.

Jimmy was a pretty good boxer with a good right cross and a very good Chin.

He beat Tommy Farr, Max Baer, John Henry Lewis and Art Lasky.

He lived in North Bergen, New Jersey, just a few miles away from where I live. I met him several times and he was a Class guy.
