The rope is something I haven't done, but I have a friend who has a complete workout plan. He starts with jumping rope. Then finishes off with the weight machine.

I do want to try those jump ropes, but I'll have to get some better cushioned sneakers. The ones I have now won't support the foot for the jumping. I do think it's a great workout, though.

My friend that does the jump rope is perfect at it. He goes left, he goes right, he never misses!! I get the rope and it's a different story. I need practice.

I guess that I start with the rope in the center. But I want to learn how to work it out on the left then right. Just having some idea of what to do next.

Shoes

I went shopping for shoes today. I need shoes that I can workout in with plenty of cushioning. I tried on some Reebocks, then a pair of Vanns. The other shoes were New Balance. The most comfortable of all were the Vanns. I had them in an 8.5 size. That's a half a size too big for me. So I have room for plenty of extra socks. Do you guys have a favorite brand in shoes?

Thanks for the information. I think the pair I tried on today went a little higher on the ankle, but not as high as your boxing shoes. That sounds like great protection.
