BF cruiserweight champion Steve Cunningham (21-1, 11 KOs) stopped previously unbeaten mandatory challenger Marco Huck (19-1, 14 KOs) in round twelve on Saturday night at the Seidensticker Halle in Bielefeld, Germany. Huck was very aggressive and effective in rounds one and two. The quick-handed Cunningham started boxing better in round three but as the fight went on he was often driven into the ropes where Huck teed off while the champ could only hold. Cunningham landed a good right hand that may have won him round five, but Huck was back on the attack with big shots in the sixth. Huck was bleeding from the left ear in round seven, and both fighters landed heavy shots. Round eight was a good round for Cunningham and the champ appeared to have more in the gas tank over rounds nine and ten. Sensing he may need a knockout, Huck went all out in the eleventh and outworked the champion. Cunninghan, however, staggered Huck in the twelfth and Huck's corner threw in the towel durring Cunningham's follow-up attack. Credit fightnews.com
