What's a good diet that I can follow to get me back into decent shape. I'm not a fighter but I'd like to get back to around 180lbs.

I currently weigh 210 and I'm 5'8 (ft). I'm not a straight up fat-ass but I have a gut and obviously you can tell I'm chubby.

I need help because I'm tired of feeling like I'm carrying all this exra weight. No, Correction: I'm tired of carrying all this exra weight.

Anything you guys can help me with ? :(

I am also overweight and trying to get to 180-185 resting weight, so I can box light-heavyweight (178). So far, I've had success with low carb dieting, but I am just in the beginning phases. My heartfelt advice- cut out sugar, starch, milk and concentrate on vegetables, animal protein, and a little fruit. And drink a lot of water. Count carbohydrates and calories.

im about 5'8 too and i use to be up to 230 at one point, but now im around 170 trying to get down to 152 for amatuers. i suggest drinking a lot of water, eating about 5-6 small meals a day. a great morning meal could be some eggs and whole grains/oats/and etc. a good pre-workout meal could be oatmeal with flax seeds. try the HIIT method in your running, youll get alot more done. if you dont know what HIIT is, then look it up online

So basically you were pretty much how I'am now, just a little bit fatter. 170 lbs sounds great. I used to be at 170, and I felt great back at that weight. Can you get a little more specific on what you did?

Thanks for the help guys.
