I would say that depends. If you are just starting out boxing, you could develop some kickboxing ring habits that aren't always beneficial. Kickboxers tend to keep their hands lower, since they are blocking and parrying kicks. When you start out boxing, you should be focusing on keeping the hands up. If you can reconcile that, kickboxing training is a huge benefit.
Not only will it improve your balance and leg stregth and flexibility, but kickboxing involves more energy. So you may get tired easily, especially if you're just starting out, but you will get the hang of it. Just don't try to do any high kicks when you start out
