He did have a huge impact on boxing but he robbed a lot of fighters of there money. Like when James Buster Douglas beat Mike Tyson his paycheck was $1,000,000 out of that he saw $100,000!

i will always remember don as the man who made the rumble in the jungle and as the man who played mike tyson. on a whole id say don has been good for the fans but bad for his fighters.

i think todays promoters have to much say to what happens in boxing, i think oscar is the most honourable of todays guys though and that should see him take over from don as #1 shortley.

by the way does anyone know how old don is.

That pretty much says it all. He set up some good fights only to screw his clients. He is both good and bad.

I agree, Don has always been good for making boxing visible to the public. He gave people something to talk about.
As for the fighters getting ripped. I guess they should read the fine print. I know its a raw deal, but what can you do after you sign on that dotted line. :dunno:

He puts together some amazing cards, but I certaintly dont like the way he handles his fighters financially. Tyson should have never ended up where he did. I think when its all said and done, hell have done alot for the boxing public and fans, but fell short when it came to ethics, and the care of his fighters, which in my opinion, is more important.
