After seeing all the potential winners exept Spain I'm torn between the Germans and Holland. Germany are an effecient machine in tournament football and can grind out results when they're nowhere near their best. Holland were immense tonight, the best I've seen them play in a long time. I always support them when the UK and ROI teams don't qualify but like Leedslad I wasn't comvinced they'd win it because they usually have bad luck in tourneys. Their attacking threat is seriouussss...Ruud, Van der Vaart, Van Persie, Huntelaar, Sneijder, Robben!!!!!!! I think they'll at least reach the semi's if not win it.
Portugal impressed me too, they can't be overlooked. Ronaldo is capable of winning the trophy single-handidely. France have quality young players like Benzema and Nasri along with the veterans but they played shiit as a team today. They may just be taking a while to warm up though but my prediction that they'll make it to the final is looking well off the mark.

I still don't fancy Holland at all. They always play fantastic football and are packed full of talent, and they always find a way to screw it up:laugh: I would LOVE to see Spain/Holland win the finals but i don't see it happening. I agree about Germany, they are going to take some beating. That side of the draw is between Portugal & Germany IMO, with Croatia being possibly outsiders.
About France, well they just flat out sucked. No tempo, no urgency, no quality. They look to have a tremendous future with that guy who played centre with Makelele, and then Benzema, Nasri, Diarra, Ribery etc. I predicted Romania & Italy from that group, i don't rule out Romania going through but i think it will be at the expense of Italy rather than Holland. Romania have a history of giant killing, they were drawn in the 'group of death' in 2000 and finished ahead of England & Germany. I would make Italy favourites to join Holland though. IMO the winner/runners-up of Group C will play each other in the Semi's.
Without watching Spain, i would say the final will involve Germany/Portugal vs. Italy/Holland, probably the Germans against the Italians.
