id have to say james toney and butterbean.
I boxers that I have met over the years, I would have to say Tony Galento.

Two Ton Tony use to hang out in bars most of the time, even when training.

Then vote for him.
i voted toney simply because if his ass trained he'd be fighting winky and taylor insted of ruiz and peters.

hey bill why's johansen on your list ? what were his training methods. :dunno:

Johanson didn't train as hard as he should/could have. I read that in a book last week so I figured I would put him on anyways.
Butterbean doesn't count because he isn't really a boxer... he is more of a showman/exhibitionist!!! I mean... has he ever been in World Championship contention as a Heavyweight? Has it ever crossed anyone's mind that Butterbean could be World Heavyweight Champion? I don't think so... so I say that he doesn't count! If I have to pick someone... it's "Two Ton" Tony Galento. As likable (to me) as he was and as much as I love brawlers... and as tough as he was... he was slow... he was fat... he ate bolegnese a little bit too much for his traning regime... he drank kegs of beer for breakfast and smokes big fat cigars... that's BAD... mind you... Ricardo Mayorga is a 2 Pack a Day Smokes and Celebrates victories with alcohol and cigars... yet for some reason... he is one of the greatest boxers that I have ever seen over the last decade or so!

Tony Galento may have been very fat and out of shape mind you, but he still knocked down the prime Joe Louis.

LOL, whrn asked what he thought about Joe Louis, he said "Joe Louis? Never heard of the bum!". So that right there showed he was fearless.
