Both Oscar de la Hoya and Floyd Mayweather took part in the mandatory WBC 7-day safety weight check-ins from their respective training camps. Stepping on the scale in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico and overseen by the Puerto Rico Boxing Commission President, Jose Penagaricano, De La Hoya weighed 158 pounds. "I'm ready and eagerly awaiting the sound of the bell." Mayweather weighed in at the Las Vegas offices of Dr. Robert Voy. Dr. Cary Logan witnessed as Mayweather stepped on the scale and weighed 150 pounds. "Nothing left to say. I am in tremendous shape and ready to go."

So Floyd has unofficially lost two pounds in the last 30 days. Oscar has lost 6. I figured Floyd will weigh in at 151 and Oscar at 154.

Weigh ins look pretty solid. Oscar will definitely be the bigger man, but i don't think he'll be able to come close to matching up with Floyds speed or power as well.
Speed yes, but more power then DLH, HELL NO!

You think Floyd gives a crap about the heat?

Sure the fighters are as good as their last performance, Oscar looked slower than the Sturm and Hopkins fight, he just looked good cause Mayorga made him look good

And as for Floyd, he gave a boxing clinic to Baldi, fought beautifully, hit and not be hit style suits him great, thats what he's gonna do to Oscar
Yup, he fought so beautifully that he had everyone headed for the exits.

As a matter of fact, it was you that was saying he had more power which I was responding to.

I was referring to the lack of respect Floyd gets for his power. Sure Oscar has more power, he is the bigger guy. Floyd has a little more pop than some give him credit for.
Yea, he really showed his pop in his last three fights. Did any of them touch the canvas? NO. He has not carried his power up.

I admit its a great matchup that boxing definitely needs more of the like, but if you are a true boxing fan you dont look at one fight to call it the "one" that boxing needs
They are not talking about the true fight fans, they are talking about the casual fight fans. As many people that should be watching, I think that they do need to put on a show. So all those casual fans can see what they are missing, Great Fights!
