Has anyone seen that fight. I am hoping that ESPN Classic will play it sometime. I have read all about it, and am dying to see it. Foreman knocked him down 6 times in 2 rounds, lucky for Smokin' Joe there was no TKO rule. What makes a man get up after being knocked down so much? He was either stupid or hungry, not too many boxers will get up like that.

Foreman Vs Frazier

I Actually Have Seen This Fight About 2 Times And I Can Say From What I Saw Frazier Was Not Stupid 4 Gettin Up He Believed He Could Win The Fight But That Was Not The Case In That Fight. And (lady Viper The Only Thing Frazier Could Have Been Hungry For In That Fight Was A Nuckle Sandwich Mixed With A Cat Nape) !

I have a copy of the fight. I have watched it over and over and use it as a training tool for my fighters. Joe was hungry and full of pride. He fought with his heart knowing he could only win if he knocked out a man that noone thought could get knocked out. Joe shoes the heart of a true warrior and the spirt of what boxing is all about. It is one of my favorite fights to watch due to what it shows about boxing. I hated to see a loser there.

I have about 10 times. Foreman was just to big and strong for Frazier, and Frazier was down low where all of Foremans power punches were at. Frazier didn't give up. He was knocked about a foot off of the ground by an uppercut and he still got up!

How did Foreman beat Frazier and Norton so easily?

Both those guys took Ali to the limit... THEY EVEN BEAT HIM!

I always thought Frazier was just as tough and as strong as Foreman... yet Foreman completely killed him... and Norton... although a hell of a lot quicker, fitter and a better athlete... FOREMAN KILLED HIM AS WELL!

What was up with that?

His power, size, and they were perfect for his max power to get to. His true power was his body shots that he threw from his chest, and where was Frazier and Norton? Right there at his chest. ;)

Was Ken Norton an in-fighter as well? He was also only 1 CM/half a inch shorter than George Foreman! Damn... it's hard to believe that monster who destroyed his opponent one by one with the glaring and softly spoken bad attitude... is that same jolly old man who is presenting Lean Grillers and praising God!

I seen the fight and Frazier had no chance. Foreman was blessed with great punching power. The same way Michael Jordan was blessed with great jumping ability. The reason why Ali beat the likes of Foreman/Shaver is that he seems to never gets hit square or he quickly turns his head so that it discipates the punch. Frazier & Norton could not do this and took the full force of Foreman's power. Ouch!!

some fighters can't or won't change their battle plan no matter who they fight. To me Frazier had a big heart, but he favored being tough over using his brain.I think if he had a different fight plan and stayed away from
Foreman for awhile, he may have been able to cut him down in the later rounds.

Exactly, Holmes, Ali, Leonard, Hearns, and more would change there battle plans to beat the guy, even if it ment doing what you do worst.

Holmes, Ali, Leonard, Hearns had great jabs and move around the ring setting up their opponent. Frazier did not have that ability or that wasn' his style. Anyway our best plans are for not when we get hit by that one big punch. Especially by the likes of Foreman.

Boxing in part is the art of self defense.supposeably you try not to get hit.
But you do have these fighters that will take two to land one.
When a opponent does something better then you, then maybe you should have a different plan
