this fight makes sense if vernon beats quartey then he can fight oscar for the WBC i always wanted oscar and forrest to go at it i think vernon has a great shot to beat delahoya, he got those long ass arms and that crazy right hand i think he would give delahoya problems

I dont think Oscar has many fights left in him. I think a huge monay fight with Mayweather etc is about he he is gonna do.

I agree with you. While it would be a good fight to see, I just dont see what Oscar gains from it. He makes more money against a bigger oponent, and more prestige to add to his legacy with a win over a top guy like Floyd.

Its all dependant on what Floyd decides to do at this point. But that would certaintly be a HUGE money bout for both of them.
For the record if this happens Floyd gets beat bad. Oscar is to big for him.

Mayweather has so many options at welter he could fight there for the next 2 or 3 years.
He's probably only going to fight Floyd and thats it. The man makes money on all his events, why waste time with lower competition (relatively speaking)

Wow, Im surprised to hear you say that. Oscar has been noticably slower in his last couple of bouts than he ever was in his prime. He is certaintly in the twilight of his career, and I dont like the matchup for him against floyd at all. Floyd is too quick and elusive for Oscar, in my opinion, at this stage of his career. In his prime, this would be an incredible match.
But, Oscar does still have some power. He's got "a punchers chance" .;)
De la hoya had problems with the handspeed of Mosley back in the day, don't see how time and tough fights since then make him better off. The best thing for DLH is he hits like a MW and lil Floyd never had to deal with that, one left hook on that chin and we'll finally see what PBF is made of. Pretty small chance of DLH havin his last fight against Vernon Forrest or Ike Quartey, you know he's breaking the bank for this last one and can't do that with either of them. Floyd needs to fight some real WW's before he goes chasin DLH, the jump to 154 barely after goin to 147 ( fighting jr.welters movin up just like him anyways) guarantees he's underestimating the power. If the fight happens i hope Oscar knocks him out.
