Welterweight Arturo Gatti v Julio Cesar Chavez Jr 10
Both fighters must win their interim bouts

A pretty reliable source has told me this. But in mine and his defense, it is not 100% yet.

Yea I heard this as well. Chavez was originally going to face against a top 30 guy and now he is fighting Wiley. I seriously doubt that this fight will happen with Gatti or any other top 25 guy. Chavez Jr. is so overly protected.
I don't think he is. His dad is going to have him fight the same way as he did. Very often against lesser opponents at the beginning. I bet he also has 100+ fights before all said and done. His tough fights won't come until about 60-70th fight.
yeah, but chavez jr is pretty good, he showed me alot more in his last fight, he looks very technically sound. I dont think he would have a chance against the gatti of old but he may have a chance against him now.
Gatti would work him over right now and I really don't like Gatti. If you don't think Chavez Jr. is overpretected you are crazy. Things aren't the same now as they used to be.
Not the same but older fighters are like grandparents, stuck in thier ways. Sr. will having him fight many, many times per year.
gatti doesn't beat any big welter at this point of his career and chavez is huge at the weight, i see gatti boxing well for the first 7-8 rounds then chavez extra strengh will get him through.
Maybe, but the fight will not happen.
I've heard people say that Chavez Jr. isn't the one to have inherited his father's genes. They say his younger brother is better then him. Anybody hear this???
I have heard that as well. This fight would only make sense to me in a PPV sort of way, but Chavez Jr. isn't big enough yet. Gatti still makes for a good draw but no way is this a PPV fight.
Chavez Jr. Has no heart and Is A [email protected]##Y iF I ever saw one. He should never fight again.
umm he would knock you out man. He isnt a pussy. He may not be great like his dad but he's not bad whether he's protected or not. I dont understand shane saying he sees it only as a ppv? how? Its not worthy of ppv, maybe on the undercard of a ppv? i just dont understand where your coming from.
I'm saying that hypothetically the only way I could see this fight happening would be a hypothetical PPV. It is hard to explain. I KNOW that there is no way in hell that IF they fought it would be PPV. I was just saying that I doubt the fight happening so badly. I can't really explain what I mean and it is driving me crazy.
haha aight shane basically you just dont think the fight will happen because you think jcc is to scared and teh only way he would fight gatti is for a big payday on ppv? i seem to agree with you.
Kind of. It is more to do with the Chavez last name and the name Gatti but it's still all mixed up in my head. Yea, it wont happen!
well i dont think many people know chavez jr really yet, at least not as a great fighter and people familiar with boxing know that gatti is basically done. I'd rather not see it because if chavez jr wins, it will get in his head that he is this great fighter who beat the same person that delahoya and mayewather did, fact is, its not the same gatti. Old gatti left hook is just as hard as jr's daddy's was and would stop chavez jr, streak. ( the old gatti that is. )

wow, gattis MR PPV!!
I know, and that was part of my point. But either way it wont happen unless Gatti gets brutalized by Gomez.
