"Former world light heavyweight champion Glen "Road Warrior" Johnson (48-12-2, 33 KOs) hits the pads with his trainer Orlando Cuellar in preparation for his next bout February 27th against an opponent to be announced. The bout will be the main event televised by ESPN2 from the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Johnson's promoter Warriors Boxing will promote the event. Johnson, coming off of a TKO win of Aaron Norwood less than a month ago, is said to be in line to face the winner of the fight between WBC champion Adrian Diaconu and challenger Silvio Branco. Johnson shed light on why he is taking a fight prior to that. "Diaconu injured his hand so the scheduled fight between he and Branco is off for the moment and I don't know when they will fight," said Johnson. "There is a possibility that Branco and I can fight for the interim WBC title, but at my age I cannot be inactive too long which is why I'm getting right back in the ring February 27th. This fight will not only keep me active but keep me in the public eye as it will be televised by a large viewing audience." -fightnews.com

Doesn't sound like Glen has any intention of fighting a contender on that night. I guess that's why it's on ESPN2.

ESPN2 is making better fight cards so Glen should be fighting a live opponent. If he's waiting for Diaconu, he's gonna be waiting a long time, dude is on britali level.
