Somebody told me that Floyd retired straight after the fight... is that true? Has either one of them retired? Have they both retired? Have none of them retired? I just want to say this... if Floyd has retired/does retired... he still hasn't proved anything completely... he has beat a few good opponents... and 34 Oscar De La Hoya (which was controversial)... but I'd like to see him beat a hell of a lot more top quality opponents!!!

Agreed. He sure is.
The man is only 30... he still has quite a few years left in him... and quite a few top quality opponents to REALLY, REALLY, REALLY prove himself against... I respect Floyd Mayweather Jr. now... a... little!

Floyd wont retire! If Oscar was to push for a rematch i think the purse would be too much for Floyd to turn down, and this fight would happen again. Hes also got guys like Cotto, Marg, Williams, Hatton still to fight. Although i think he would win all those fights they would all be good to watch.

ya, he's so full of ****... He knows he'll return to the ring.
"God don't make mistakes, and that's why I'm a 6 time champion." (Floyd)... But when he decides not to retire and to go back into the ring, probably for a rematch with Oscar, and loses, then God's made a mistake, huh? lol

Man you really don't get it. You think Oscar is going to somehow improve and get better by September/October to all of a sudden be able to beat Floyd? THINK
oscar wouldn't be as rusty as he was may 5th if they sign to fight again soon. and he'll go into the gym in good shape something he's not done in around 4 years. these are big factors in boxing.

I dont believe for a second Mayweather is gonna retire. Too young. Too many challenges could lie ahead. Too much money left to be made. Especially if there is a rematch with Oscar. A lot of boxers "retire" until the right offer comes along.
