Ricky Hatton is my fabourite boxer today.Althohugh he has seemed to fade a little in his recent fights. I hate to amitt i have had the doubts now about hattons big fights. this is how i see them.

mayweather (mayweather ud)
paul williams (williams ud)
cotto (cotto ud)
witter (hatton ko6)
castillo (hatton ud)
corrales (hatton ko6)

I want to see the old hitman return im just not liking the boxing. i want to see the relentless and firery hatton back. then i see him unbeatable.

hatton was on great form against maussa that was only 3 fights ago. since then he's fought two strong southpaws who would be hard for any fighter to look good against, styles make fights and i think we'll see hatton more explosive than ever against castillo.

hatton wont fight margarito or williams these guys are basicly 154 fighters who are at 147, he knows tese guys would be to big and strong as would most of the top 147 fighters.

cotto, zab and floyd arent what id call natural 147 guys ricky would be just as strong as these fighters and has an excellant chance to beat them.

yes tommy i love hatton hes had a amazing career but his latest fight against urango and his very close points victory over collazo wernt great performances. I think if we see the relentless attacking body puncher he used to be all these critics and romours would be over with. I hate all the talk junior witter is giving at the moment as well

hatton went for it in the first 6 rounds against collazo and he looked great but the second half of the fight the strengh diffrence showed and hatton tired thats what let collazo back in the fight. he didn't go mad against urango because he learned from his mistake against collazo. billy graham reminded ricky of this a few times during the fight.

id tell most people who critisize ricky to look at the performance's against takie, kostya and maussa. judge him on his next fight with castillo this is rickys kind of fight and he'll show that by the way he wins.

cant wait for castillo fight. Tommy how do you think ricky will win. Its gonna be a tough fight because castillo is no push over. hopefully when ricky wins he will get full respect and a showdown with mayweather jr. That fight needs to take place.

I actually think Hatton will HANDLE castillo. Im not the biggest Hatton fan, but I dont see how he loses this one, short of a lucky killer body shot.
Id actuallly much rather see him fight Zab Judah, but thats just me.

the key to this fight is the body for both guys i think. hatton isnt the biggest ko artist upstairs but the body attacks are unbelevible. if you watch hattons win against kostya where he was on top of him all night not letting him get any shots off hatton will prob go in that way.

i cant see ricky trying to outbox castillo.

On the other hand I do see Hatton tryin to out box Castillo. I think thats the way to win the fight. He has to box Castillo if he trys to brawl he might be koed

castillo aint near as strong or powerful as hatton. hatton will brawl in this fight. castillo is the better boxer look at the skill he showed against mayweather.

Not the same fighter that fought Mayweather. And I think that the fight is very well even matched. If Castillo stays to the body and out works Hatton then he might get a ko. But on the other hand Hatton can attack when he wants and fight his fight. You hit and hold hit and hold then he can get a ud. I mean come on even Corrales is a better boxer than Castillo.

if castillo fights hattons type of fight and brawls he loses. and loses bad. his only chance is to try and out slick hatton with his superior boxing skill's.

hatton will only have one game plan in this fight and trust me it wont be outboxing castillo it will be going to war.

I think that Castillos only chance to win the fight is to get Hatton to fight a inside tight kind of fight. Because Hatton has faster hands and better foot work. But I agree with you on Hattons game plan. I think he is going in there looking for a war. Only because its Castillo that hes fighting. But I think its a mistake for him to do that.

Castillo, and the rest of the boxing public will not take kindly to another "punch / hold, punch/hold" performance on Hatton's part.

Hopefully there will be an assertive ref involved in this fight.

I beleive Hatton will brawl with Castillo and I feel he will win that fight. Hattons performance may have not been preaty at all v Urango but he listened to his corner and got it done. There was no way Hatton could of stood there trading with Urango, he would of got knocked out.

I like your analogy. The only thing is I'm not sure how he will fight Castilio.Watching his interviews along with the way his last few fights went,Ithink he wants to fight smarter and last longer. He is not dumb and knows with his style he won't last long.

hatton has said he'll prob only fight another 3 or 4 times. i think if he wanted to prolong his career he'd have changed his eating habbits between fights.
