I say no. He is getting a lot of flack from both sides of the pond in the media right now regarding his sub-par performance. They are also discussing a pattern of holding and clinching that seems to be developing that they don't like the looks of either.

Everyone is quick to defend this by saying Hatton is putting on too much weight between fights, and they better hope that is the case, otherwise, ....

Anyhow, it won't matter...JLC looks like he is not getting any younger, after seeing his fight with Herman Ngoudju on Saturday, Hatton must be licking his chops.

After that, I don't know what Hatton will strive for, realistically. He's said he doesn't want to go back to 147, so....
Sooner or later... Hatton's gonna run into somebody of great credibility and lose convincingly... and that could almost be the beginning of the end for the Brit!!!

Tzsyu was done when Hatton fought him. Tzsyu in his prime would not have lost to Hatton. Proof being that Tzsyu has done nothing since the loss.

Hatton is very one-dimensional, albeit a firecracker in the ring with a crowd pleasing style as a brawler who is always moving forward.

As I mentioned in my post above, he's developing a frightening pattern of holding and clinching that won't win him any fans, or further attract any big time contracts when his next fight is up with HBO.

kostya wasn't done when hatton fought him he was the reigning champ and had just beaten both zab and sharmba. and the reason he hasn't fought since hatton is he had a very bad injury which has just healed up, there's talk of kostya returning at 147 according to fightnews.
Hattons furure does not look good. He is weak in the body. Castillo could kill his body and so could Cotto. Now that he is exposed look forward to him having very very tough fights.

hatton always has very very tough fights thats why he's such a fans fav, the urango showing was a landslide victory for him and i for one hope he can get the fights with cotto, mayweather and corrales. by the way arum had a very good offer to unify the belts when both these guy's were champs and he refused it flat claiming cotto was still too green, hell maybe he's still too green because he aint improved any since then.
Tommy, you're doing a good job of ignoring everyone's comments regarding Hatton's clinching style, and the fact that it's not just the members here saying, but also the media and the HBO commentators.

one of my first posts stated that i wasn't happy with the showing.
OK hattons clinches . So what. Have you fort of about the fact he never loses. He fights diferent fights for different opponents. With most of his earlier career fights he slaughtered his opponents with ferosious body attacks and has recently shown great boxing skills against urango. He has a bright future
correct tyson.
I would realy like to see Margarito a future opponent for hatton. That is a great matchup
sounds nice but it wont happen.
hatton knows a margarito or williams are to big these guy's have both fought at 154.
yh spose so but still it would be a big fight
You guys need to stop changing TV channels during the fights or just try keeping your eyes openned.
He boxed a little.
Then he got beat ON :D and decided to copy J.Ruiz.
Just like he did to Collazo.

Punch and hold WOW he really is great:cheeky4:
Wow thats a pretty big statement Dave.
Hattons a great fighter and thats that. He will prove this when the big names call him out like mayweather who is running and cotto. Bring em on and Hatton will still be undefeated
I dont know about all of that. I think Cotto can beat him. Anybody with a good body punch has a shot at beating him.
