Sooner or later... Hatton's gonna run into somebody of great credibility and lose convincingly... and that could almost be the beginning of the end for the Brit!!!
kostya tzsyu had great credability and is a legend and future HOFer, hatton destroyed him.

Tzsyu was done when Hatton fought him. Tzsyu in his prime would not have lost to Hatton. Proof being that Tzsyu has done nothing since the loss.

Hatton is very one-dimensional, albeit a firecracker in the ring with a crowd pleasing style as a brawler who is always moving forward.

As I mentioned in my post above, he's developing a frightening pattern of holding and clinching that won't win him any fans, or further attract any big time contracts when his next fight is up with HBO.
kostya wasn't done when hatton fought him he was the reigning champ and had just beaten both zab and sharmba. and the reason he hasn't fought since hatton is he had a very bad injury which has just healed up, there's talk of kostya returning at 147 according to fightnews.

Hattons furure does not look good. He is weak in the body. Castillo could kill his body and so could Cotto. Now that he is exposed look forward to him having very very tough fights.
hatton always has very very tough fights thats why he's such a fans fav, the urango showing was a landslide victory for him and i for one hope he can get the fights with cotto, mayweather and corrales. by the way arum had a very good offer to unify the belts when both these guy's were champs and he refused it flat claiming cotto was still too green, hell maybe he's still too green because he aint improved any since then.

Tommy, you're doing a good job of ignoring everyone's comments regarding Hatton's clinching style, and the fact that it's not just the members here saying, but also the media and the HBO commentators.
one of my first posts stated that i wasn't happy with the showing.

He's definitely in the top three body-"huggers" in the sport, though.
jey you've been hating on hatton since i knew you, infact ive never heard you say a good thing about him.

by the way jet you said hatton got slaughtered in the press stateside but i seen an interview with hatton on friday fight night and he said he loved it in the u.s and the press were great with him.

hattons up there with mike mccallum and julio ceasar chavez when it comes to body punching, the only fighters today who come close are miguel cotto and shane mosley.

yes cotto and mosley are good body punchers but hattons is relentless to the body and has droped so many of his oponents by that left hook to the ribs.
i agree.

jet.

although i agree that hatton wasn't as shall we say exciting as he usualy is against urango he still managed to win convincingly on all 3 cards.

urango to me is the 140 pound answer to baldomir, he's strong as an ox, his pop is prety good, he's slow, his skills are average but his chin is granite. all in all a hard fighter to come up against and you touched on the point that collazo was a southpaw but so was urango.

id still like to see hatton fight vivian harris and miguel cotto. obviously if floyd ever accepted a bid that would have to be the fight that was made.

dont think hatton would get much respect fighting harris. Harris lost to maussa and maussa lost to hatton. I would like to see Cotto but that fight is at 147. I cant see it happening. Although castillo and corrales can be made at 140. Then a 147 fight against mayweather would be sure to happen.

Mayweather will not retire after hoya. he hasnt proved enough but by fighting hatton and beating him he would prove himself and go retire a legend. Im not sayin mayweather would beat hatton i think hatton would be to strong and win a ud but thats the fight the both need.
harris was caught cold against maussa. i think if they fought another 100 times harris wouldn't drop a round. he's comeback with a good win against stevie johnson and he fights juan lazcano next, harris is a real class operator and a lot of u.s fans around the boards are tipping him to beat hatton.

alot of u.s critics. Every u.s fight fan doesnt have a good word to say about hatton. Vivian Harris wouldnt last 8 rounds and i think its a worthless fight for hatton. He should Get the big names out there. castillo, corrales, mayweather, cotto or even gatti and witter. Especially when he probably will be lucky to have anougher 5 fights before he retires.
gatti would be lucky to go 1 round. he's a completly shot fighter who should hang them up.

most american fans have taken hatton on board, obviously theres 1 or 2 who want to see him fall but theres also british fans saying the same.

if harris can beat lazcano this will put him back as a major player again at 140. which most guys know he is anyway.

gatti would go atleast 6 rounds with hatton. He took baldomir 9. Most u.s fans dont have a good word to say about hatton. wouldnt you rather see hatton fight cotto, mayweather, castillo, corrales. names like that instead of harris.
ive posted on a few boards about hatton and the majority of u.s fans like hatton and his style.

gatti went 9 rounds with baldomir? you make that sound like a great acheivment? baldomir had 9ko's before that fight in about 60 fights. gatti is completly shot and a fight with him is a backwards step.

harris is actualy witters mando at the moment but im not sure if that fight will happen. as ive said if he can beat lazcano that puts him back where he needs to be and a fight with hatton would be massive.

true i agree with that. if harris gets past lazcano that would make him a bigger contender for hatton but only slightly. Look gatti is no push over. Look at the punishment that man can take. He took some very hard shots against baldo and would last a lot longer than a round in the ring against hatton. trust me.

Please tell me how he wouldnt last a round??? Look at the left hook to the body ward delivered and he still managed to get upo and last the 10 rounds.
gatti was finnished when mayweather totaly humiliated him in a 6 round destruction.

baldomir has no speed no skill no power and he looked a class above gatti, now 6 years ago that fight could have been diffrent but artuto said after the fight his body wont alow him to do things it was once capable of.

hatton shouldn't be fighting 90's guys like gatti thats what floyd has been taking stick about. he should be fighting guys who are contenders and champions.
