just becasue urango got a few good body shots in that doesnt mean anyone with a good body dhot on them caould beat him. That can happen in anyfight at anyweight. Cottos running scared from ricky. Hatton is the best body puncher in the sport and desserevs more credit than hes geting at the moment. look at the record. 42.0.0. Thats impressive

Not AS impressive when you look at it more closely. Warren was seen scouting the local morgues to find opponents for Ricky during the first 16 fights, he only fought one person with a winning record. Apart from the hardcore fan, the only recognizable name on his record is Tony Pep, (to some degree) and then Vince Phillips. 23rd and 32 fights respectively. Tackie and Tszyu are the other noteable names, but, meh, not exactly a world-beater, yet.

On the other hand, on the undercard, Ngoudju gave Castillo all he could handle, in his 16th pro fight. Herman will be making a call to Hatton in another 26 fights to compare records.

**Queue up Tommygunn to tell me that it's all Warrens' fault that Hatton fought so many stiffs.

He's definitely in the top three body-"huggers" in the sport, though.

hattons up there with mike mccallum and julio ceasar chavez when it comes to body punching, the only fighters today who come close are miguel cotto and shane mosley.

yes cotto and mosley are good body punchers but hattons is relentless to the body and has droped so many of his oponents by that left hook to the ribs.

I've said lots of positive things about him, I just don't think he's "legend"...

You can't defend his last performance though, he looked like crap, compared to other fights he's had, and this is supposed to "be his time" right now, when he's peaking, right?

I've never seen so many clinches, so many one-sided clinches in a long time, coming from someone who was supposed to be so quick, and such a pressure fighter with a great body attack.

I'm not a fan-boy, so I don't hate on anyone. I've said lots of negative things about PBF, too, just for the record.

Hatton is pretty one-dimensional, and when faced with a southpaw, who had decent footwork and defense, it was almost the end of him. Blah blah 147, I know I know.

There wasn't anything that impressive about his win against Urango, that's for sure. (for the record, I watched the fight again, last night...)

but this is boxing, so a moderate looking Hatton and a crappy looking JLC will meet in a few months time...boxing will make everyone forget about their last performances and market the fight as a barn-burner and everyone will be happy, since these guys are evenly matched, and will stand toe-to-toe and knock each other silly.

jet.

although i agree that hatton wasn't as shall we say exciting as he usualy is against urango he still managed to win convincingly on all 3 cards.

urango to me is the 140 pound answer to baldomir, he's strong as an ox, his pop is prety good, he's slow, his skills are average but his chin is granite. all in all a hard fighter to come up against and you touched on the point that collazo was a southpaw but so was urango.

i hope to see Hatton beat castillo and then Corrales. Then shut up that cocky Witter and then retire after mayweather. Although thats the dream.

id still like to see hatton fight vivian harris and miguel cotto. obviously if floyd ever accepted a bid that would have to be the fight that was made.

dont think hatton would get much respect fighting harris. Harris lost to maussa and maussa lost to hatton. I would like to see Cotto but that fight is at 147. I cant see it happening. Although castillo and corrales can be made at 140. Then a 147 fight against mayweather would be sure to happen.

Mayweather will not retire after hoya. he hasnt proved enough but by fighting hatton and beating him he would prove himself and go retire a legend. Im not sayin mayweather would beat hatton i think hatton would be to strong and win a ud but thats the fight the both need.

harris was caught cold against maussa. i think if they fought another 100 times harris wouldn't drop a round. he's comeback with a good win against stevie johnson and he fights juan lazcano next, harris is a real class operator and a lot of u.s fans around the boards are tipping him to beat hatton.

alot of u.s critics. Every u.s fight fan doesnt have a good word to say about hatton. Vivian Harris wouldnt last 8 rounds and i think its a worthless fight for hatton. He should Get the big names out there. castillo, corrales, mayweather, cotto or even gatti and witter. Especially when he probably will be lucky to have anougher 5 fights before he retires.

gatti would be lucky to go 1 round. he's a completly shot fighter who should hang them up.

most american fans have taken hatton on board, obviously theres 1 or 2 who want to see him fall but theres also british fans saying the same.

if harris can beat lazcano this will put him back as a major player again at 140. which most guys know he is anyway.
