Ill certainly be watching. I love the high energy fights that Arce always seems to put on, and you wouldnt want to miss the next big thing in the middleweight division in Pavlik. Great fight card, and a heck of a kick-off to HBO's B.A.D. season, I agree.
Ill take Pavlik by KO in 7, and Arce dec over Ler.
I will be watching. That post may not be correct. B.A.D. isnt usually in HD. Unless they have decided to finally change. I hope its in HD.

I like Pavlik but think he is gonna struggle tonight. He will win but I think its gonna be close.

Arce is always fun to watch but I know nothing about his oponnent.
HBO boxing presents: Jorge Arce vs. Julio David Roque Ler Saturday January 27

SATURDAY, 7:15 P.M. Pacific on , HBO-E “BOXING AFTER DARK”

AT HONDA CENTER, ANAHEIM

Jorge Arce (45-3-1, 35 KOs) vs. Julio Roque Ler (23-1, 14 KOs): Arce, a three-time world champion and a veteran of 17 world-title fights, has seen his profile rise in the past few years after a series off impressive knockout victories over the likes of Hussein Hussein, Adonis Rivas and Rosendo Alvarez.

Arce is known for his flamboyant personality, extravagant ring entrances and his warrior’s spirit in the ring. After winning world titles at 108 and 112 pounds, Arce is now campaigning in the 115-pound weight class.

Ler is a tough puncher from Argentina. His lone loss was by decision to former world champion Alexander Munoz in 2005. Ler bounced back with three straight victories, including two by knockout.

Arce, who is wildly popular in Mexico, fulfills a dream of fighting in the Los Angeles area. He hopes fight fans come out to see his performance against the little-known Ler, who has lost only once in 24 professional bouts.

"I'm very excited to be fighting in the Los Angeles area," said Arce, who has not lost since being knocked out by former world champion Michael Carbajal in 1999. "I've always wanted to fight here because of the many opportunities Los Angeles provides. I've always wanted to fight in the United States and I'm glad my dream has come true."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Kelly Pavlik (29-0, 26 KOs) vs. Jose Luis Zertuche (19-3-2, 14 KOs): Pavlik, who is ranked in the top 10 at middleweight by the four major sanctioning organizations, has put together and impressive string of six consecutive knockout victories. His past two fights, a fourth-round TKo over Lenord Pierre and a sixth-round TKO over Bronco McKart, were featured on Versus’ “Fight Night.”

Pavlik appears to be ready for a shot at the middleweight championship, but first he has to get past Zertuche, a 2000 Mexican Olympian who loves to mix it up. Zuniga holds victories over veterans such as Grady Brewer, Fulgencio Zuniga, Marcos Primera and Carlos Bojorquez. He also handed Jesus Gonzales his first pro loss.

This event should be full of action will definitely be watching :)

I was happy because it was in HD. I am glad they finally switched over.
