My grandfather, Homer Kirk (from Kansas, fought from California) fought early bouts in late 1930s as a welterweight. I am trying to find out about his history fighting in the US Army during WWII. Homer enlisted out of California in 1943. Can anyone point me in the right direction, i.e. who to call, write, etc., to get information about his Army boxing record?

Thanks,
Krista

Thanks - Actually that's not what I was looking for

Thanks, I actually have that record (a little depressing!), but I am looking for any data about his boxing while in the Army during WWII. The aforementioned record is from 1938-1939,he enlisted in 1943.
