cheerz tommy
I can think of another boxer who went up to 147 and got the scare of his life, Tommy. He's fighting back at 140 now. :cheeky4:tommygunn said::thumbsup: i did watch and it's good viewing. hey i was a big mayweather fan till he moved beyond 135, i think floyd knows these big hitters who come forward are not for him but his arogance keeps him punching above his weight. floyd excelled at 135 but 147 and 154cmon.
welcome back jet. . we've had a ding dong on this subject for the past year and both know where each other stand firmly, i just dont get it with floyd the best should fight the best. oscar should have happened 5 years ago but floyd see's the opotunity at 20m to good to refuse and is gonna be punished. as for hatton's trip to 147 we know it wasn't prety but he got the job done. most fighters take a fight or 2 when stepping up to ajust but ricky went straight for the excellant collazo and won. no bad scoring ricky one the fight by 3 rounds. ive always maintained he was hurt in the final round but by the end of it was again boxing well. just a shame floyd wants no part of ricky.sliznut said:JetCar is a genius. Good post.
I think this is where most of our opposite views on this subject stem from. Before Collazo fought Hatton no one was calling him excellent. I remember watching the fight and Hatton being favored heavily in the bout.tommygun said:ricky went straight for the excellant collazo

yes my freind you summed it up with what you said limited knowledge. who did collazo take the title from, shall i tell you, ok, jose antonio rivera who after losing to collazo has moved to 154 winning the wba title there and is tipped for big things and fights in the next year or so. hatton was heavily tipped because in his previous fight he destroyed modern day legend kostya. but any real boxing man could have seen collazo class going into the fight his prior win proved how good he is. oh and as you say shane is going against collazo. and shane always takes easy fights. not.sliznut said:I think this is where most of our opposite views on this subject stem from. When Hatton struggled against him and barely won it made him look bad. It didn't make Collazo look better. You are considered good because of who you have beaten in the ring. Collazo hasn't beaten any big name to my limited knowledge of him(and that division). Lets see what Collazo does with Sugar Shane before we start saying he is excellent. If he beats Shane then I might think more of Hatton's win over Collazo but as it stands now struggling against a guy you were supposed to steamroll does not bode well for my views on Hatton.
dont make his head bigger than it already is. :laugh:Captainobvious99 said:wow, your my hero![]()
Ok so you're telling me that he beat someone better suited for a different weight class. Same case for Hatton then right? Hatton better not go back up to 147.tommygun said:jose antonio rivera who after losing to collazo has moved to 154 winning the wba title there and is tipped for big things
no he didn't beat someone better suited for another weight class, he beat a fighter who was a highly regarded champ who just happens to have moved up in weight and won another belt.sliznut said:Ok so you're telling me that he beat someone better suited for a different weight class.
